Catholics Backing McCain

Over one hundred influential Catholics joined the McCain campaign today. The National Catholics for McCain Committee is made up of many Catholics from all walks of life throughout the country.

I never fully understood these type of endorsements. I’m a Catholic that was going to vote for John McCain regardless of if I was the only Catholic or the entire religion was with me.
That said, they obviously have some kind of affect on voters, and this certainly doesn’t hurt, so it can only be viewed as a good thing.

I really need help with a problem. I’m Catholic and I follow the ten commandments, one of which says “Thou shalt not kill”. I have searched my bible text trying to locate a footnote that gives exception to allow certain countries, and or political parties to kill but no luck. If Catholics should not vote for pro choice candidates, are Catholics accomplices for murder if we vote for a president who advocates bomb bomb bomb Iran.
