Given where we were just one year ago, this is truly amazing. Sen. McCain’s strong leadership on this issue was monumental in making it possible. We just have to see to it that we don’t throw it all away in the coming months.

When I heard this news, two words came to my mind, “McCain Surge”.
This is poisonous news to the Dems, if these numbers stay in the 40-50% range. I wonder if President Bush’s approval rating will begin to move upward. That, too, would be good news for the Republicans and bad news for Clinton/Obama.
