Dean didn't lead the Dems to anything in '06. If the Democratic Party couldn't win Congress a year and a half ago then it no longer deserved to be a party. If anyone is responsible for '06 it was Rahm Emanuel and Chuck Schumer.'

Regarding his performance now, there is more than a few rumblings on the left of a negative nature. Read some of these blog posts and articles: http://www.tnr.com/search/search_results.html?q=Howard+Dean

Which is worse? That I post my progressive views here, or that no one posts anything here?

I'm willing to get the debate started, even if I get called names...

Dean, like ALL political strategists, says what he thinks will win elections. Nobody cares if their guy flip flops, but woe be to the opposition who flip flops.

Dean led the Dems to a stunning victory in 2006, despite Rove's promise of a permanent majority. He is to be taken seriously as a result. it remains to be seen if he can build on that success, or if it was just a fluke.

McCain, flip, Clinton, flop, Bush flip, Obama, flop...

Maybe they should just get it over with and change the name from the White House to the Waffle House.
