The McCain Foreign Policy

Joseph Loconte writes this morning on the foreign policy direction Sen. McCain has outlined for himself and his potential presidency to date. His central conclusion is that contrary to ”his Democratic rivals, McCain projects a balance of idealism and realism, of tenacity and prudence–forged in part from his own experience in Vietnam–which seems especially relevant for a nation at war.”
I will seek to write more in depth on the McCain foreign policy in the near future, but I can say now that what I have heard Sen. McCain set forth so far seems to strike an appropriate and effective balance between the two foreign policy schools of realism and idealism.
