Obama’s Glass Jaw

Senator Obama is not happy that Senator McCain pointed out that Hamas stated they would like to see an Obama presidency.
“This is offensive, and I think it’s disappointing,” Obama told Blitzer, when asked his thoughts about McCain’s comments that the terrorist organization Hamas wants Obama to be president. “Because John McCain always says ‘I am not going to run that kind of politics,’ and to engage in that kind of smear is unfortunate, particularly because my policy toward Hamas has been no different than his.
A smear would indicate that comments were either false or misleading, but that is not the case. Hamas made a telling statement and Senator Obama may not want people to know about it, but crying foul over a statement of fact is pretty weak.

Nope… no fear mongering there.
“Don’t vote for him, terrorists support him!”
I’m sorry… apparently I missed when Obama went to actively seek out an “endorsement” from Hamas. I also must have missed when Obama was grateful for that “endorsement”.
Why this is a smear is because Obama has no control over what some organization has to say.
If, for example, the KKK backed McCain. Can the Dems make a big deal of that without the GOP getting up in arms over it?

If Sen. Obama wants to see a smear than one of his tech-savvy aides ought to show him some of the video clips of him and other Democrats distorting the “100 years quote”.

Joe, I’m sure if the KKK endorsed Senator McCain it would be all over the news. Senator Obama may not like that ‘endorsement’, but when Ahmed Yousef a Hamas representative states Hamas wants Obama to win that’s noteworthy, not a smear.
“Hamas, he says, understands American politics; this is the election season, and everyone wants to sound like a friend of Israel. Nevertheless, he hopes that the Democrats will change American policies when they take office.”

Joe,
Obama may have have sought the endorsement of Hamas, but Obama, through his views on foreign policy, did earn it.
