Obama Equates his Public Financing Lie to the Declaration of Independence

You have to give the Obama campaign points for hutzpah. Granted Obama’s decision to bypass public financing after he signed a pledge to take it is probably smart politics. However, his web site is now marketting that broken promise as a declaration of, “Independence from a broken system”. I suppose stating ‘I lied, but please send me money anyways’ would not be that effective a fundraiser, but it certainly would be more honest than pretending that this was some sort of noble decision. Referencing the Declaration of Independence to cover up this old school political maneuver is clever and shady.

To be able to break fundraising records with $50 donations is incredible, and certainly not something to be ashamed of. It is precisely that degree of excitement that is going to cause a landslide loss for McCain this November.

Obama verbally promised and assured us that if McCain opted for public financing he would too.

First my credentials: A conservative Republican who *lived* on this board back in 2004 dreading that the consummate moondoggie, asshat, liberal jerkwad John Kerry would be come president. A person who now thinks Obama is a quivering piece of festering pond-scum, an empty suit, and the second coming of that master of disaster, Jimmeh Carter, who careened his way through four ineffectual years, doing his level-best to drag this country down in the mud ~~ and still is doing so.
After that lengthy preamble, a simple warning: Get off the campaign bucks promise thing. Obama raised a ton of dough and will spend it in an orgiastic effort to seize power. The brain-dead American-Idol, mesmerized public doesn’t give a fried rat’s ass about this. They are stuck on dumb and think this guy is the new Messiah. what’s gotta happen is that people have to become *genuinely* afraid of this jerk and the only way that will happen is they see him stammer his way through one of those insipid debates.
Sadly, this will NOT happen because the press are so in bed with him. He will probably get his precious teleprompter and warm, fuzzy softball while they will rain down flaming meteorites on McCain, all the while proclaiming, “See! There! we told you he is a senile old fart!”
Happily, if this piece of dog vomit gets to be president, he will in the course of his four years and in consort with Hairy (not a typo) Reid and Nancy Pelosi wreck the economy so much and treat the military so badly that even the great unwashed will revolt and never elect a liberal pissant to an office ever again.
