Clinton Supporters Making A Statement About Not Supporting Obama

Clinton supporters are making a statement that they are NOT going to unite behind Barack Obama. There are a variety of reasons why; Michigan and Florida, poor treatment of Senator Clinton by the media, disrespectful behavior by Obama supporters, or simply doubts about Senator Obama and his qualifications. For these, or other reasons, many Clinton supporters are actively campaigning for Senator McCain. The site Just Say No Deal lists over 125 sites, many newly started, that agree that they will not be voting Obama in November. Some like Savage Politics are even raising money for Senator McCain. Many are planning to donate to the McCain campaign on July 4th to show their committment. Here are just a few of the numerous sites committed to NOT unifying the Democratic Party.

    Or not………

    Source From June 26, 2008
WASHINGTON - Barack Obama has won over more than half of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s former supporters, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll that finds party loyalty trumping hard feelings less than three weeks after their bruising Democratic presidential contest ended.
The poll suggests time is beginning to heal some rifts from the primary campaign and that the New York senator’s endorsement of Obama carried weight.

“Less than three weeks” and most have turned to Obama. Give it another 3 months and most will be behind Obama.

    More from the same article…

The poll found 53 percent of the Democrats who favored Clinton for the nomination two months ago now back Obama for president. That’s an improvement from April, when only 40 percent of Clinton supporters said they would back Obama over McCain.
“It wasn’t a difficult decision — I was a lifelong Democrat,” said 55-year-old Susan Gates of Massachusetts, a former Clinton backer now firmly in Obama’s camp.

Not a difficult decision when you look at the choice of a fresh look at things versus the same old same old.

    Yet more…

Gregory Scheetz, 56, of Barstow, Calif., said he wanted Clinton to win because of her experience, her intelligence and because it’s time to have a woman in the White House. But he said he moved to Obama after Clinton endorsed him on June 7, even though he’s a registered Republican.
“I feel that he can bring change,” he said. “There’s people in our country that I see need help. They’re slow about getting it, and it just seems that Republicans are taking a different direction.”

Wow… even registered REPUBLICANS aren’t voting for McCain. Are you going to have a posting about all the hard-core Conservatives that refuse to vote for McCain?

    How about this from CNN?

The Quinnipiac surveys, released Thursday, showed Obama with a 17-point lead in Minnesota, 54-37 percent, and a 13 point lead in Wisconsin, 52-39 percent.

Them’s a couple of partial “swing states”. I don’t think adding Pawlenty as Veep would cut that 13 point deficit since he really isn’t that popular of a Gov.

Or maybe the Quinnipiac poll that has Obama leading in Colorado 49-44?
How about Quinnipiac’s poll from Michigan? Obama 48-42.

So you can have those dozen sites of Clinton supporters not voting for Obama. That will equate to about 1% of Clinton supporters that won’t back Obama.

Meanwhile… poll after poll in many of the swing states show independents leaning toward Obama.

The article did a nice job of making a 50/50 split of the Hillary vote sound positive. I’ll take those numbers any day.

    If Obama Wins…
Things to count on if Obama Wins.
-A progressive tax system that soaks the rich and dries up investment
-A windfall profits tax on oil companies that further off shores production and increases our balance of trade deficit.
-A rougher time ahead for US auto stocks, given his past attacks on these companies and investor expectations.
-A preemptive strike on Iran by Israel prior to his inauguration.
-Higher food prices as he pushes for renewable energy
-Coalition of The Willing troops withdrawing rapidly from Iraq & Afghanistan ahead of his promised cut and run.
-Liberal judge appointments leading to higher tort costs, lower competitiveness and fewer US jobs.
    -Weakening of NAFTA
-An illegal alien influx into America given his stated policy to not send back the 12,000,000 illegal’s here.
-The signing of the Kyoto Accord and the loss of 5% GDP.
    -Restrictive gun legislation.
-An economy strangling universal health care program.
-Federal approval of Medical Marijuana, despite the tremendous abuse of that plan in California.
    KEEP WORKING TO PREVENT THIS

Both McCain and Obama are going after the Latino vote right now so I think that most Latino’s are Catholics, right? What does the Pope say about abortion?
Obama has a public record of voting for Partial Birth abortion. Most people would agree that this is horrific!!!! Michelle Obama supports Planned Parenthood and has a public memo out saying that Partial Birth abortion should be legalized. Obama is on record saying that he would “not want his daughters to live with a mistake” and therefore, on record, votes for no limits on procedures and favored sending money to other countries to support abortions. He voted on teens right to have an abortion without a parents knowledge or consent. He wants kindergarten children to have age appropriate sex education effective immediately…….WHAT ELSE??????
And He expects to get the Hispanic votes????????? NO OBAMA

Wow… must be nice to have that crystal ball of yours. Can you share what tonight’s lottery numbers are? Maybe you can tell me exactly what the Patriots record will be this year.

Maybe I can play that game too.
Things to count on if McCain is President:
    1) Airstrikes on Iran
    2) Same old same old in Iraq (i.e. $12 billion a month)
    3) Economy in shambles
    4) Rich getting richer and the gap of the haves and have nots growing by leaps and bounds.
    5) More tax cuts while China owns more and more of us
    6) More foreclosures of hard-working Americans while people living in other countries are buying the property as investments.

We can go on and on.
