I really don’t have an issue with gays, if they want to be gay, fine, go be gay at a gay bar or someplace like that. But Don’t sneak gay propaganda into childrens books at public schools.

Then we have Obama, HRC, and Edwards Say their OK with the schools showing books like that to 2nd graders on a Live DNC debate, that half the country seen and remembered.

I’m just trying to refresh peoples memories here.

No sex, regardless if it is gay sex or straight sex, should be taught at that young age. There shouldn’t be pictures of anyone kissing regardless of color, sex or anything else for young kids. My point is that you are more upset that it is GAY rather than the fact that it is SEX. You have an issue with gays. That is your prerogative, but don’t push your opinion on others.

My point about the mixed race is that not even 40 years ago people would be outraged if the school showed a picture of a mixed race family(nevermind kissing) just as you are so outraged of the possibility that kids are shown a picture of a gay family. Again, apparently because you have an issue with gays. There are gay people, like it or not. That is not going to change.

I am still perplexed why you jumped onto gay sex being taught when that wasn’t the point of the whole post nor was it the point that John McCain was “trying” to make about Obama. Then again, maybe this was his objective is to get people like you to jump to the theory that Democrats want kids to “learn how to be gay”.

SB 99: However, no pupil shall be required to take or participate in any family life class or course on HIV AIDS or family life instruction if his parent or guardian submits written objection thereto, and refusal to take or participate in such course or program shall not be reason for suspension or expulsion of such pupil.

The bill also called for all sex education course materials to include information that would help students recognize, among other activities, inappropriate touching, sexual assault and rape:

SB99: Course material and instruction shall discuss and provide for the development of positive communication skills to maintain healthy relationships and avoid unwanted sexual activity. … Course material and instruction shall teach pupils … how to say no to unwanted sexual advances … and shall include information about verbal, physical, and visual sexual harassment, including without limitation nonconsensual sexual advances, nonconsensual physical sexual contact, and rape by an acquaintance. The course material and instruction shall contain methods of preventing sexual assault by an acquaintance, including exercising good judgment and avoiding behavior that impairs one’s judgment.

All sex education courses that discuss sexual activity or behavior shall satisfy the following criteria:
(1) Factual information presented in course material and instruction shall be medically accurate and objective.
(2) All (1) course material and instruction shall be age and developmentally appropriate.
(3) Course material and instruction shall include a discussion of sexual abstinence as a method to prevent unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
(4) Course material and instruction shall present the latest medically factual information regarding both the possible side effects and health benefits of all forms of contraception, including the success and failure rates for the prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
(5) Course material and instruction shall include a discussion of the possible consequences of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.

John McCain released an ad this week making the accusation that Barack Obama supports sex education for five-year-olds.

Some people are Ok with mixed marriages, some are not. Guess you gotta respect both sides, some folks might be proud of their culture and heritage.

Joe, when women come up to me and ask if I’m looking for some action. I find that some are attractive and some aren’t. Regardless of race, some women just have a pretty face or perfect body or both. Others may not, it is really just personal preference

While I do think kindergarten is far too young for this type of proposal, and I’m not a real fan of this style of ad, what I find completely objectionable is CNN’s behavior.

Eric, don’t take this the wrong way, but what Obama voted for in the Illinois Senate was NOT to teach someone how to be gay and it isn’t anything at all what McCain made it out to be.
